The Newest Food Group

If you happen to have the opportunity to eat with Sophie these days, you'll probably notice that her tastes have changed a little bit. She used to eat just about anything and particularly enjoyed her greens, garlic, and anything with rice. Though we can occasionally get her to eat some of these things, there is really only one constant in Sophie's diet: butter.
If we let her, she could easily devour a stick all on it's own. We went out with Kelly, Chris & Anna for Chris' birthday last night and Sophie was very excited to see a giant bowl of butter pats on the table. We offered her noodles, beef (which I can't believe she passed up), and even chocolate sundae. She would have none of it., except the butter.
Tonight, we did not intend on Sophie's only utensil to be the butter knife but she quickly manipulated the situation when we asked her if she wanted butter on her corn. Stupid question. We should have said, "do you want some corn with that butter?" Luckily she was easily persuaded this evening to also eat the chicken (if we promised her more butter).
On an unrelated matter. Can someone find a children's discipline book that has an answer to the command: "you say you're sorry!"? That phrase came out of Sophie Wan Xin tonight when we were trying to discipline her this evening. I am sorry to admit, we were a little speechless.

Funny - EFP likes her butter also! Can't even imagine - but she would eat it straight if I let her!

Funny kids eh?
